The Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 20^th October 2022, virtually, via Microsoft Teams Meetings.

The date has been pushed back from September to October this year, due to the Commonwealth Games impacting the timing of certain deadlines to be met throughout the summer.

We believe a virtual meeting is accessible for most of our members and we hope this will increase our engagement within the WW membership.

In this meeting, there will be an election of a new member-elected board director. WW will trial a new voting method, that has been successful for many other organizations including other National Governing Bodies of Sport. More information on how this will work will be provided in the coming months.

WW have completed a full review of its articles over the past twelve months with external support from an expert consultant and lawyers. The articles were originally written and adopted back in 2013, since then, the organization has developed and grown significantly, the articles required modernization and updating to ensure they were fit for purpose. Each change proposed will be put forward as a ‘Motion’ for members to vote on whether to pass. More information on how this voting process will work will be given in the coming months.

Some key dates for members to keep in mind:

• AGM 17:30pm Monday 10^th October 2022, Teams (link will be sent to members)
• Nominations for new elected member will be received from 11^th August – 12^th September 2022. Nominees must be current members of WW and they must be nominated by a current member and seconded by a current member. The nomination form will be available on the website.
• Motions to be put forward will be shared by 30^th August
• An agenda for the meeting and the list of nominees for election will be communicated by 20^th September
