Weightlifting Wales is proud to announce that four of our talented young athletes have been selected to receive SportsAid grant awards for 2025. Congratulations to Evelyn Thomas, Isla Travers, Grace Morris, and Thomas Duggan, who have each been recognised for their outstanding potential and commitment to the sport.

These prestigious awards, provided by the SportsAid organisation, will offer vital financial support to assist with training, travel, equipment, and competition costs—helping to ease the pressure on these developing athletes as they continue to progress along the Weightlifting Wales performance pathway.

All four lifters have demonstrated impressive dedication and achievement at Youth and Junior level, and this support will be instrumental in helping them reach new heights. We are excited to see what the future holds for each of them as they strive to set new benchmarks and represent Wales at national and international competitions.
